Cherry wood is moderately hard, strong, and close-grained with a high resistance to warping. Its light to reddish brown color deepens with age and exposure to sunlight. Sometimes, a cherry tree grows with a distinctive pattern in the wood; Curly Cherry, as this variation is called, is reddish brown in color and makes a highly decorative choice for furniture-making. It is close-grained, strong and moderately hard, and lends a look of distinction to any home decor with its versatility and rich color.
